The Australian Jewish Historical Society has published the Society’s Journal since 1939, and currently publishes issues for both the New South Wales and Victoria branches. The Journals are available in hard copy and online covering a vast array of historical material on Australian Jewry from early British colonisation through to contemporary times. The original and scholarly content published in the Journal represents an important pillar of the Society’s function and has had content provided by a wide and knowledgeable cross-section of contributors.
Both the Journals and the Newsletters, past and recent, can be accessed through this page. Unlimited access is free to members of the AJHS or available for purchase by guests to the Society.
All issues of the Journal, and Special Publications, are free to subscribers and members of the AJHS.
The Society also produces a quarterly newsletter in each of its branches. In addition to promoting forthcoming events, the Newsletter contains shorter-form pieces when compared to the Journal. Current and back issues are free to subscribers and members of the AJHS.
